Summary
McCormick & Company (NYSE: MKC) is a Fortune 500 global leader in spices, seasoning mixes, condiments, and more, with over 14,000 employees worldwide. Many of its brands — such as Frank’s RedHot, Cholula, McCormick, and French’s — are category leaders and household names. In 2017, McCormick launched an in-house creative studio with a mandate to build a team of subject matter experts capable of delivering best-in-class design across its portfolio.
I was brought on as the first advertising designer within this large, complex organization and played a key role in shaping and growing the in-house team. My responsibilities quickly expanded to include creative and art direction, development of brand identity systems and design best practices, team leadership and mentorship, and implementation of processes to ensure work was consistently on brand, on time, and to the highest standard.
